'Souljacker' E-card released 21-9-2001
The official site released a flash animation to help promote the release of 'Souljacker'. It's available for download in a Macintosh version and a Windows version.

Souljacker release news 21-9-2001
Here are some random bullets on the release of 'Souljacker':

• The UK version will be released on September 24 and will include a special bonus EP, with the track 'Hidden Track' which has all the titles that were sended in for the contest on the official site.
• Vinyl UK version is out on the same date
• France has released an incorrect version, with the CD booklet printed in red instead of black and some other minor faults.
• In some countries 'Souljacker' will be released on October 1st.

'Souljacker Pt.1' video not shown in the UK 21-9-2001
The video for 'Souljacker Pt.1' isn't show a lot on TV in the UK because it apparently is breaking a lot of the rules that are valid in Britain what can and can not be done in a Music video. The official site has a full article on this.

Strong rumors on new E. solo album 14-9-2001
Souljacker isn't even officially out in many parts of the world, and already rumors are spreading on a new album! According to reliable sources, E. will release a new solo album somewhere around Christmas. The album will contain songs that are recorded by only piano and guitar, one of the songs on the album is rumored to be 'Sad Clown', which is sang by Butch a few times during the last few concerts.
This info was send in by Maxime, who had a chat with Butch after a French concert. There was also a news item in the French newspaper 'aden-le monde'.
Remember, although the info was acquired by a conversation with Butch there is still no official news on this release, so you should regard it as a rumor.

Terrorist attacks in the US 14-9-2001
No, this isn't even remotely related to the eels, but i think it needs to be said anyway. As you probably already know, last Tuesday two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, later on, one plane crashed into the Pentagon. There are estimates of more than 10.000 deaths. If you haven't gotten access to any news sources for the past 4 days (which seems quite impossible to me..) and want to read more about this, click here.
Anyway, i wanted to wish everyone involved in this tragedy good luck, it's terrible to lose your loved ones in such a situation.

• It's Going to be a great album, but it will go unrecognised to anyone who hasn't heard of eels. Shame --- From Kieran
• From the available mp3's, it sounds more orchestrated and "studio-ish" but still good. Less raw and bare, but still good. Who knows what else lies in the album? There are plenty of songs no one has heard yet.

Eels announce Souljacker 2001 European tour 7-9-2001
We already heard some rumours about it, but now it's official: the eels are coming to tour Europe again this autumn. Dates for the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Holland have been officialy confirmed. Read all the dates at the tour date page.

E. plays in Wenders movie 7-9-2001
It has been mentioned earlier that there was a possibility that E. would play

in a movie by Wim Wenders. It has now been confirmed that E. will play one of the main charachters in his movie 'In America'. Robin Wright Penn will also be starring in the movie. [thanks to terant]
