Unidentified E. interview identified 23-9-2000
Eivind Olsen mailed me yesterday about the 'unidentified e. text' you can find at the articles section. Apparently, it's a 'fake' text written by NME. NME has a section in it's magazine where they write fake 'interviews' with artists.

More information about 'obscene' eels album 23-9-2000
Salon Magazine featured a new article about the eels/republicans news from two days ago. The writer of this Article (Jake Tapper) criticises the way the republicans talk about the eels CD. According to him: 'It's perhaps appropriate that the Bush campaign has devoted its last three days talking about Shiloh and the Eels -- because "Shilohgate" is one dog of a scandal, and slamming Gore for the Eels CD is about as slippery a charge as I've heard this year.

Republicans criticise Al Gore about eels album! 21-9-2000
Some really remarkable news here. Apparently, the last eels album Daisies of the Galaxy has been a new marketing tool of the Republicans to show how inconstant Al Gore is. It's generally known that Gore has said that the entertainment sector should stop with bringing out violent movies and obscene language etc. However, according to Bush campaign spokesman Ari Fleischer, Gore handed out 'compact discs containing obscene song titles and lyrics' (referring to 'It's a Motherfucker') 'and a cartoon cover'. According to Fleischer 'the combination of the obscene words and child-friendly jacket shows that America's families and parents cannot count on Al Gore to stop Hollywood from marketing this stuff to children'.

The reasons for the lack of 3speed updates 11-9-2000
As you may have noticed, there hasn't been much updates on 3speed recently, but there is one very simple reason: there isn't enough news. The eels have ended the 'Daisies' tour and are now presumably working on the new record. I'm currently working on the best songs poll..
