Logically, they aren't very happy about this. What's even
worse is that the 'International' release will have a second bonus CD with unreleased
tracks.
The official site mentions that if you're unhappy about the decision of Dreamworks you
should try to call them (the office is located in Beverly Hills, CA). It's probably also
possible to mail them.
In the meantime, the only thing that any US fans can (legally) do to hear the tracks is to
pay lots of money to import the International release.
The Souljacker special has been updated now with the
release dates.Eels play Crossing Border festival 25-7-2001
They eels will apparently return to Holland once more after Lowlands to the
Crossing Border festival in October. The official site hasn't confirmed this date yet, it
was mentioned in an article in a Dutch newspaper. Tickets will go on sale August 4.
Because it hasn't been officially confirmed it might be wise to check out the Crossing
Border website or call them
before buying tickets.

And some comments..
- what Husky, that thing is still up and running? With the EELS
official message board I forgot all about it! peace out, Jon Burger
- People need to come to the forums more often. Its not very fun
coming there day after day seeing that there are no new posts. If more people came there
and more people posted the forums probably would prove to be very interesting.
- it sucks trying to get a freaken' login name! how did these other
people do it?
And something related to this: If everything goes well 3speed
will have a new message board in some time, and this time it won't be one of those crappy
ad-filled EZboards, but a real UBB thanks to 3speed host Re (from beautifulfreak.org).
Anyway, I don't know how long this will take, so don't hold your breath yet ;)
The new question is off-course Souljacker related:
Have you already heard anything from Souljacker?

Tommy, the former eels bassist, has formed a new band called the 'Abandoned
Pools'. Their first record will be released October 25, but 4 songs from it can
already be downloaded at www.abandonedpools.com.
The song 'Ruin Your Life' seems to be quite nice according to Walt, who reported this
news.

Poll results / New question 5-7-2001
Here are the results for the latest poll:
What do you want to hear on the
next album? [77 votes total]
|
| I have both of the albums (39) |
51% |
| I have 'Broken Toy Shop' (9) |
12% |
| I have 'A Man Called E.' (4) |
5% |
| I burned them from MP3's (3) |
4% |
| I don't have either (17) |
22% |
| I don't want them (4) |
5% |
| 'E. Solo Albums'?? Huh? (1) |
1% |
And some comments:
- call me crazy but the solo albums just aren't too good to me! I
mean old skool 80's beats and stuff are just out! Though some EELS fans will beat me up
for that soo good thing I am not saying my name!
- I listened to samples on CDnow.com, but his work with the eels is
so much more beautiful. They have a way of touching me. I especially love their
beautifully sad sound of ESB. I'd love to hear more of that.
- Broken Toy shop is far superior, but both albums are a sign of E's
early creative genius.
- just bought 'a man called E' yesterday. I was completely
flabbergasted by it.
Thanks all for participating. The new poll question is:
