The eels have appeared on a lot of festivals during the last few weeks. To present all the reviews i gathered in a good way i opened a new section on 3speed: the eels gigography. Also, the tour dates section has been renewed. In the future, the gigography will also have reviews from past shows.

'I Like Birds' illegally used in Spanish commercial 21-8-2001
The Daisies eels song 'I Like Birds' has been used in a Spanish
commercial to promote a shopping center. This was, however, without permission from the
eels. Apparently, the commercial was used because of a miscommunication between the
Spanish representative of Rondor music, who oversees the rights to the Eels music. E. is

has posted the first part of the eels 2001 tour diary. Maintained by Butch, the first

Eels play Oosterpoort 21-8-2001
The eels will return to Holland for one more concert in the 'Oosterpoort' in
Groningen. The eels are scheduled for the 26 of October, this is a bit confusing because
this is also the planned date for the appearance at the Crossing Border festival. Other
sources suggest the Groningen gig will take place at the 28th. Hopefully the band will
confirm the dates in the near future.

'B-side' contest results 15-8-2001
Remember the contest that was held at the official site where you could send
in suggested song titles for an eels b-side? The official eels site has announced the
results: the eels didn't pick one title but a lot of the titles and used them in a special
song which will appear on the special bonus EP shipped with the European release of Souljacker.
The song will apparently be a 'hidden' track. If the Souljacker Pt.1 b-side I
Write the B-sides has something to do with the contest and if it's the same song (the
title suggest so) is unclear.

- i dl fresh feeling from audiogalaxy, and i was going to dl the others, but i felt that hearing some before the album is on my player would spoil the surprise, so i shall wait for september to come.
- MP3's are wrong. wait for the album and let eels get some well deserved money you morons
- If any of my friends liked the Eels and got a promo copy, I'd steal that thing so fast.
- Very good stuff. No one can top the eels. I hope more songs are like 'fresh feeling' that song is beautiful. I hope the CD has more songs like that. That's the eels sound I love. Great job eels!
