EXTASY RECORDS INTERNATIONAL TO RELEASE ABANDONED POOLS DEBUT SEPTEMBER 25

FORMER EELS MEMBER TOMMY WALTER ANNOUNCES NEW PROJECT

On September 25 Extasy Records International will release the label debut from Abandoned Pools entitled Humanistic. This stunning album is Tommy Walter’s first project after departing the influential band, eels, where he was an original member.

Humanistic is co-produced by Walter and the Boston–based team of Paul Q Kolderie and Sean Slade (Hole, Radiohead) and mixed by Chris Lord Alge (Green Day, Replacements). Walter, a multi-talented instrumentalist, plays the majority of instruments on the album. Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals) added drums while Frente’s Angie Hart sings back-up on several tracks.

With Humanistics 12 songs, Walter trusts his own instincts and lets loose his unique influences without constraint. The album lyrically casts a knowing eye while travelling musically from the feverish rush of "Mercy Kiss," the industrial metal blasts of "Monster" and "Seed" to the sweetly nostalgic "Suburban Muse" and gentle "Never."
