just got my 'eels press kit' in the mail today. it's not much of a kit
actually, but i wanted the photo that came with it. its a b&w of e looking
straight into the camera seemingly oblivious of the girls standing behind
him goofing off. dreamworks didn't really go all out on this thing, but
there was a blip where e reiterates that the music they were recording for
dotg was really two records but he only wanted to put out the one now(the

there's also some comments from e on some of the songs from dotg which are
as follows:

then watched a strange documentary about princess grace's dark side.
"packing blankets": about the joys of reinvention.
"i like birds": a tribute to my mother. she was really into birds. after she
died, i brought back her feeder and some books about birds. i put the feeder
in my yard, and i got them a birdbath too.
"daisies of the galaxy": not nearly as pretentious as the title might lead

who end up at a small-town movie house called the galaxy, where they watch
"terminator 2." then i based a song on it.
"tiger in my tank": an anti-advertising jingle.
"jeannie's diary": an unrecorded song from before 'a man called e'. i used
to get really obsessed.
"selective memory": a sad song because none of the things in it really
happened. but he has to tell himself that he simply can't recall the even
